Hi all this is the first blog in a while because I have been very busy with many projects, and learning experiences. A few things of note that have been going on:
1.) Hearty Handshake - is off the ground and started. This is the web design / implementation firm that I have founded.
2.) I just completed the implementation of a website for a movie that is currently being shown at Sundance called Banished.
3.) DrupalCamp NYC2 has come and gone and I happily say that I was there for 2 full days of drupal madness.
4.) Semester 1 complete Semester 2 begins on my journey to complete my Bachelor's Degree after being away from college for almost 12 years.
I would like to say thank you to all the folks that have been supportive of me and my pursuit of technological rebirth as a web design/developer. These thanks esspecially go out to my wonderful wife, my folks & siblings, all those I have done work for in the last year (special thanks to Jon for being my guinea pig over and over and over...). By having faith in me and my abilities by entrusting your web sites / brands to me brought about the confidence to go forward with Hearty Handshake, and try to bring my views on accessibility, usability and enthusiasm to the web. I have had alot of fun, and learned much working over the last 2 years on all of the projects I have worked on, and I hope to move forward with this knowledge base and keep learning best practices, and the latest techniques.
Speaking of projects, I have been lucky enough to be reunited with an old friend, he is the owner of a skyrocketing graphic design firm, and a friend since 2nd grade. Christian from Krona Design is the person I am cryptically talking about here, an unbelievable graphic designer who recently broughbt me and my firm in to implement a design created by Krona Design for a documentary film, called Banished. The project was a fantastic experience on my end because it allowed me to focus on the execution and implementation of a spectacular design, provided by Krona Design to implement clean, efficient and accessible site. I am personally very proud of the the final outcome and looking forward I see alot of Krona Designs / Hearty Handshake collaborations.
On January 20 & 21 I was one of the almost 100 people to decend upon Polytechnic Institutes IDMI department and make it our own. Polytech was gratious enough to play host to DrupalCamp NYC2. There were 2 full days of sessions, interactive demos, question & answer, and walk throughs. The people there that hosted the sessions were experts from local and not so local Drupal web design firms and
