Hearty Handshake Website Implementors

The site JonHoche.Com is the online home of up and coming actor, Jon Hoche. We here at Hearty Handshake have taken the time to get to know Jon's needs and have an ongoing relationship with him and his brand. The initial design and implementation was a static website where the only section of the site that Jon had any control over was the blog which we customized to match the look and feel of the entire site. This site was functional and a solid, grounded professional web presence but lacked Jon's sense of style.

After 6-7 months the design was revisited and then, working with Jon himself for inspiration we came up with the 2nd Design. This design contained a unique navigation system that was conceived by Jon and created and implemented by us. This design was short lived, even though it was very stylish, web standards compliant, and adequate. It was missing the ability for Jon to make changes to the existing content, and add new content and event notices. For example, new headshots, production photos, and news on current projects. The ability for Jon as the client to have almost total control over the implementation of new content is what brought us to the current design.

The current implementation of JonHoche.Com is created utilizing the open source content management system named Drupal. This implementation of JonHoche.Com allowed us to customize the functionality of Drupal to Jon's individual needs, specifically the ability to create an online calender of events for Jon's various theatrical performances, and gave Jon the ability to customize the front page news section of his website by simply creating a new blog entry and "tagging" it with the word news. Also now Jon himself can create new photo galleries and add photos himself to these new photo galleries. This type of dynamic site was exactly what was called for in this situation, Jon is a tech savvy power user of the internet, and in the long run he needed a flexible way to put his own content online.
